  • Yes, the curcumin in CuraMed + Clinical OPC does contain turmeric oil to enhance absorption. However, the turmerones from the unique CO2-extracted turmeric oil provide additional benefits.Turmerones have been studied for their support of breast and liver cells, and enhance the overall power of the formula.*
  • Tannins are a form of proanthocyanidin (another OPC) found in grape seeds, stems, and skin. As a result, they are found in many grape seed extracts. However, they have a high molecular weight, too big for the body to absorb, and in any case, they don’t provide strong health benefits. CuraMed + Clinical OPC provides only low-molecular weight OPCs, including a complex mixture of flavanolic monomers (catechin, epicatechin, epicatechin gallate) and flavanolic oligomers (dimers, trimers and tetramers) for high absorbability.
  • Turmeric is the plant that provides curcumin. Typically, turmeric contains about 2-5% curcumin, so taking an unstandardized, powdered turmeric product means that very large amounts would be required to get a beneficial amount of curcumin. Additionally, standard curcumin extracts are poorly absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract. That’s why our clinically studied curcumin is blended with turmeric oil to enhance absorption. While turmeric is excellent when used as a spice, the enhanced absorption curcumin extract used in CuraMed + Clinical OPC is a better choice for optimal health benefits.*
